Powdery mildew or white sickness is a cryptogamic disease, that is of fungal origin, which can affect sage plants and occurs on the leaves. This is the most frequent pathology among those that can affect this aromatic herb and occurs in particular with mild temperatures and high humidity. It is a very simple disease to identify: because the white patches that are seen on the leaves of the sage are very characteristic. A reader of Orto Da Coltivare, Barbara, asks me exactly what her plant can have, describing the symptoms of powdery mildew. PEACHES STRUDEL

Summer Strudel of Peaches Quick and Easy recipe. A dessert based on puff pastry filled with fruit, simple, beautiful and delicious. We use a puff pastry ready to make the strudel in a few minutes and we are ready to bake.

INGREDIENTS FOR PEACHES STRUDEL
100g of Raisins
2 Ripe and sweet peaches
20g pine nuts
2 spoons of sugar
the juice of half a lemon
a knob of butter
3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
a spoonful of jam to taste
a roll of ready-made rectangular puff pastry
icing sugar for garnish

How to make summer peaches strudel

First let’s soak the raisins in cold water. In a bowl, cut two peaches into small pieces, add the pine nuts, squeeze and add the raisins, add the juice of half a lemon, sugar and cinnamon powder, mix everything and set aside.

In a pan, heat a piece of butter and let the breadcrumbs toast, stirring constantly.

We prepare a ready rectangular puff pastry and in the center we put a little jam, just a spoon to spread, add the toasted breadcrumbs, then we arrange the filling with the peaches that we have prepared.

Close the dough on itself, first one side then the other, to create the strudel. We put it on a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake at 200 degrees for 40 minutes (static oven).

Here it is ready, well golden on the surface, once out of the oven place it on a plate, sprinkle with icing sugar and let it cool completely. We can garnish with some peach slices on the sides of the plate and our summer peaches strudel is ready to bring to the table!
